Rear Window and Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift and Rear Window

Today we watched Rear Window, which reminded me heavily of the Taylor Swift song, "No Body, No Crime." The movie was basically about a man, James, who believes his neighbor murdered his wife. Throughout the movie, we see this couple argue multiple times and then the wife just disappears. James calls a detective, who doesn't believe there is a murder, and he also tells his girlfriend, Lisa. There was also speculation that the husband was cheating on his wife, which could've been the reason he murdered her. Just so he could be with his mistress. In the song "No Body, No Crime," Taylor Swift sings of her friend, Este's husband who is "acting different and it smells like infidelity." Which compares to the movie, but what makes them even more comparable is that Taylor believes Este was murdered by her husband. This is due to the fact that "Este wasn't there Tuesday night at Olive Garden, at her job or anywhere" and Este's husband had his mistress move into the house, while his wife was reported missing. That's the only difference between Rear Window and "No Body, No Crime." I definitely think if anyone was to make an edit of this movie, it would be to that song. There are just way too many similarities for it to not be perfect. Anyways, go stream "No Body, No Crime," from Evermore, if you have not already. It is a fabulous song!
